Radio-controlled time base with DCF time code generator and minute pulse output
Accurate time for data loggers, radio-controlled by DCF or MSF.
Technical data
Radio-controlled time base, with time code generator and time marks output, quartz backup.
Output lines :
Open collector output (max. 30 V, 100 mA) with serial time code (binary) giving minute, hour, day, day of the week,
month, year, summer/winter, quality of signal reception, minute identification.
Code length : 60 bits. Transmission rate : "slow code" : 1 bit/sec.
"Fast code" : full code transmitted every second, 56 bits within 100ms.
Time marks output with minute pulses indicating minutes,
hours and 24 hours by positive pulses with variable duration, minimum 3.4V, max. load 10 mA.
Option : seconds marks.
Antenna :
Built-in.
Receiver :
Superheterodyne coil receiver, designed for optimal noise rejection and high sensitivity.
Available for the following transmitters : DCF, 77.5 kHz, Mainflingen, Germany; MSF,
60 kHz, Rugby, Great Britain.
Principle of operation :
TELECODE delivers data continually, including during perturbation or absence of time signal reception.
The receiver is working permanently for optimal accuracy.
Power supply :
Built-in lithium battery 3.6 V. Running reserve over 10 years. Option : external power supply.
Accuracy :
When a good signal is received, the clock synchronizes with the time signals to an accuracy of +/-10 ms.
Precision of the time signals is in order of 15 millionth of a second a year.
Versions :
Standard version : Local time of the radio transmitter, with daylight saving changeover.
Option : UTC/GMT version, without daylight saving changeover.
Operating temperature :
-25 à +75 degrees centigrade. Below -15 and above +50 degrees centigrade, the sensitivity of the receiver is reduced.
Display :
Pilot lamp (LED) for radio signal check.
Option : model LCD with display of hour, minutes, seconds.
Connections :
Screw terminals on the casing.
Casing :
Economy casing: 142 x 132 x 37 mm.
Weatherproof casing (IP65): 200 x 150 x 80 mm.
Installation :
Mounting on a 35mm DIN rail.
Weight :
300 to 600 grams depending of the version.
TELECODE superhet slow code
The TELECODE superhet slow code is delivered as follows :
1 Bit/Second, Negative Pulses (Open Collector)
0.25 Second Pulse Duration = value "0"
0.5 Second Pulse Duration = value "1"
No Pulse at Second 59 of Every Minute (---> Minute Identification !)
The time information is coded as follows : Bits 0 - 14 : always =0; 15 : quality of radio-synchronization : good=1, bad=0; 16 : always=0; 17 : winter=0, summer=1; 18 : winter=1, summer=0; 19-20 : always=0; 21-27 : minute (of next minute); 28 : always=0; 29-34 : hour; 35 : always=0; 36-41 : day of the month; 42-44 : day of the week (monday=1); 45-49 : month; 50-57 : year; 58 : always=0; 59 : the pulse is missing (minute identifier).
