ThermoScop

Electronic Control Unit for Public Thermometer.
  • Delivers Bipolar Impulses for Slave Clock movements, 12 Volts or 24 Volts.
  • The temperature scale (degrees Celsius) corresponds to the minutes of a clock: "20 minutes after ..." means +20 degrees, "5 minutes before" means -5 degrees.
  • Temperature Sensor with 5 Meters Cable.
  • Powered by Lithium Batteries
  • Temperature Range: from -30 to + 60 degrees C.
  • Resolution (Precision): The pointer moves in steps of 1 degree.

Principle of Operation

Description

Electronic Control Unit for Analog Thermometers Made with Clock Slave Movements. The temperature scale (in degrees Celsius) corresponds to the minutes of a clock: "10 minutes after the hour" means +10 degrees, "5 minutes before ..." means -5 degrees. (Patent Pending).

Technical Data

Materiel: The delivery includes the following material:
Output:
ThermoScop 12: Bipolar Impulses for Slave Movements ("Minute" or "Halfminute" Type), 10.8 Volts / 50 mA (Max. 4 Movements), Duration 0.25, 0.5, or 1 s. (to specify).

Temperature Scale:
The pointer moves by 1 minute per degree Celsius.

Resolution, Precision:
The temperature is shown to +- 1 degree accuracy in the range from -20 to +40 degrees Celsius. The pointer is being repositioned every 15 to 30 minutes, after processing the measurements.

Temperature Range:
The temperature is measured from -30 to +60 degrees.

Temperature Sensor:
NTC Type, to be Screwed into Bottom of Thermometer Casing or with Corner Plate Against a Wall.

Slave Movement (Not Included in the Delivery):
For moving the pointer, one uses a clock slave movement. When the temperature rises, the pointer moves in steps of 1 minute = 1 degree. When the temperature falls, the pointer makes one turn around and stops at the right position. The public has one chance out of 100 to see the pointer turning. This reminds that the thermometer actually "lives".
Option: Execution for Forward/Backward Movements.

Controls:
NORMAL/STOP/FAST Lever for Setting the Pointer to the 0 Degree Position. The pointer automatically moves to the correct temperature when the lever is switched to NORMAL.

Power Supply:
ThermoScop 12: Integrated Lithium Batteries. Battery Life Ranges from 4 to 20 Years Depending on Type and Number of Movements.

Connections: Lever Spring Terminals Inside the Case.

Case:
Plastic Case 142 x 132 x 37 mm, with Clips for 35mm DIN Rail. Option: Weatherproof Case.

Weight:
400 to 680 g Depending on Model (Power Supply).
